**Job Summary**

Apple Silicon Engineering is seeking creative engineers to design the next generation of analog & mixed-signal (AMS) circuits for Apple's world-leading systems-on-chip (SOCs).

Apple's Ax SOCs are the brain of every iPhone and iPad. Our AMS circuits connect them to the physical world. Examples include SERDES for data communication, PLLs for clock generation, and sensors for measuring all sorts of physical quantities.

AMS DV Engineers work to enable bug-free, first-pass correct silicon. The responsibilities include all phases of pre-silicon verification, including but not limited to:

Establish AMS verification methodology

Develop custom hardware descriptions, simulation software, and verification libraries, in C/C++, Python, and SystemVerilog

Verification environment development including stimulus and checkers, test-writing, debug, coverage, sign-off for RTL freeze and tape-out.

**Key Qualifications**

* Experience developing scalable and portable test-benches in SystemVerilog and UVM

* Experience writing object-oriented software in Python and C++

* Experience with simulation tools for analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits

* Experience with verification tools such as: waveform viewers, build/run automation, coverage collection, gate level simulations

* Experience with serial protocols such as PCIe or USB

* Experience with mixed signal verification methodology for IPs such as PHYs, PLLs etc.

* Knowledge of formal verification methodology

* Knowledge of modern software development methodology


In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring bug-free, first-pass correct AMS IPS, and are expected to:

Write custom modeling software, capturing the behavior and performance of AMS circuits

Create verification components for high-productivity testing, regression, and tracking of AMS circuits

Develop a scalable and portable verification methodology, suitable for AMS IPs

Develop and execute verification plans, including bring-up, regression testing, and debug

Track and report DV progress using a variety of metrics, including bugs and coverage


MS + 3 years industrial experience

BS + 5 years industrial experience
