**General Description**
Associate, R&D; Operations

Job Description Samsung Research America (SRA) plays a pivotal role in developing the next generation of discovery in software, user experience and services for future products that can enrich your life. R&D; Operations Specialist will be responsible for driving effective and efficient R&D; planning and operations within the organization. Duties & Responsibilities
* Work with SRA management, labs, and multiple business units in Korea to understand and align project goals of SRA labs with our overall strategic plan
* Coordinate with labs and projects to manage overall key metrics and reporting, including ad-hoc and regular reports, as well as collaborating for the annual business planning process
* Help to develop long-term goals for SRA project management and operational performance enhancement
* Work with functional organizations on optimizing project operations, including business processes & policies, resource assessment and allocation, and ensuring that the practices of the organization are robust, sustainable and consistent with best practices in Silicon Valley
* Work with internal groups to streamline planning and operational processes, increase collaboration and strengthen communication, both internally and with HQ organizations in Korea
* Routine translation needed to enable effective communication (Korean to English and English to Korean)
* Take responsibility for logistics for important internal/external visitors and associated meetings and support materials.
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or Business, or related field
* Strong understanding of a broad range of technologies relevant to R&D; organizational investments and activities, with an emphasis on software technology
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and public speaking skills
* Ability to multi-task in an innovative and fast-paced environment
* Proven experience working in a cross-cultural, multi-national corporation.
